Bluetooth
Utilizing Bluetooth®, Rover INK® users can wirelessly transfer ink files stored
on their digital pen to their cell phone. A small routing application installed
on the cell phone transfers Rover INK® files to the Rover INK® server for processing
in real-time.
In addition to Rover INK® files, the routing application can also send the following
information:
- The ID of the person that completed the form
- The exact time that the form was completed
- The GPS location that the form was completed
- The identity/type of form and specific pages, if applicable
Why use Bluetooth?
- To transfer information from the field to the office in real time
- To reduce costs:
- Reduces travel to and from the office
- Increases productive time in the field
- Eliminates the need to deploy expensive laptop and tablet PCs
What do I need to deploy this solution?
- Bluetooth digital pen
- Bluetooth enabled Smartphone® – Blackberry® or Windows PPC 5.0+
- Data plan activated on the Smartphone®
